Trump announces inaugural committee leadership
President-elect Donald Trump announced Tuesday that Thomas Barrack Jr. will serve as the chairman of the presidential inaugural committee.
{mosads}The committee is in charge of planning and coordinating the official events and activities related to the Jan. 20 inauguration of Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence, according to a press release from the Trump campaign.
Barrack is the founder and executive chairman of Colony Capital, a New York Stock Exchange global investment firm.
He also served as an economic and national security adviser to Trump’s campaign and served as deputy undersecretary of Interior under former President Ronald Reagan.
The finance co-chairmen on the committee are Roy Bailey and Lew Eisenberg.
The finance vice-chairmen include Sheldon Adelson, Diane Hendricks, Tommy Hicks and Gail Icahn.
The release said there will be additional announcements about the inaugural committee leadership in the future.
