Obama to speak at OFA event

{mosads}The group has been criticized by some government watchdog groups for selling access to the president after reports surfaced that some high-dollar donors were granted quarterly meetings at the White House.

The group has tried to shed that image, arguing that meetings with the president are not guaranteed, that it doesn’t accept corporate donations and that it voluntarily discloses those donors that give over a certain amount.

In his speech, Obama will outline the action OFA will take during the August congressional recess “to ensure that the voice of the people is heard and that Members of Congress are held accountable by those they represent,” according to a statement the group released on Friday.
