Terror gang planned to attack Paris Dec. 1: report

A jihadist terror ring planned to attack Paris on Dec.1, Agence France-Presse reports, with a Christmas market and Disneyland as potential targets.

{mosads}Police arrested seven suspects last weekend as part of an eight-month investigation. Two suspects were later released.

A police source told AFP that the suspects searched the internet for attack sites including the Christmas market on Champs-Elysees avenue and the Disneyland Paris theme park.

Some members of the group may be taking orders from a Syria-based jihadist, according to AFP.

Police found two handguns, an automatic pistol, a submachine gun and jihadist propaganda during the raids.

One year ago, 130 people were killed and more than 300 injured in a series of coordinated terrorist attacks throughout Paris.

Islamist extremists have carried out three attacks in France since 2015.
