Politicians pay tribute to Carrie Fisher
Lawmakers and political figures paid tribute to Carrie Fisher on Tuesday after reports that the “Star Wars” actress died.
Fisher, best known for playing Princess Leia, died at age 60 after suffering from a heart attack, a family spokesman said.
“It is with a very deep sadness that Billie Lourd confirms that her beloved mother Carrie Fisher passed away at 8:55 this morning,” said a statement released to People magazine by spokesman Simon Halls.
