White House hosts Web chat examining ‘real-life superpowers’
{mosads}Attendees will include a Duke University graduate student working on an invisibility cloak, a Stanford professor who studies self-healing and touch-sensitive synthetic skin, a University of Delaware chemical engineer who studies liquid armor, and Nate Ball, the co-founder of a company that sells a tool which enables firefighters and soldiers to “reverse rappel” up the side of a building.
James Kakalios, a professor at the University of Minnesota who wrote a book titled “The Physics of Superheroes,” will also participate.
The livestream will be broadcast at noon from the White House’s website.
