China bashes Trump’s use of Twitter
China bashed President-elect Donald Trump’s use of Twitter this week in a commentary published by the country’s official news agency, CNN reported Thursday.
“The obsession with ‘Twitter diplomacy’ is undesirable,” the commentary on Xinhua News Agency’s website said.
“It is a commonly accepted that diplomacy is not a child’s game — and even less is it business dealing. As former United States Secretary of State [Madeleine] Albright said, Twitter should not be a tool for foreign policy,” the commentary continued.

Earlier this week, Trump hit China on Twitter for not doing more to rein in North Korea.
“China has been taking out massive amounts of money & wealth from the U.S. in totally one-sided trade, but won’t help with North Korea. Nice!” Trump said.
Trump’s relationship with China is off to a rocky start. China criticized Trump for accepting a phone call with Taiwan’s president, which some viewed as jeopardizing the One China policy.
The U.S. has not formally acknowledged Taiwan’s independence as part of the One China policy, a practice begun under President Jimmy Carter in 1979.
