Biden to Trump: It’s time to ‘grow up’

Vice President Biden is calling on President-elect Donald Trump to “grow up.”

In an interview on “PBS NewsHour” released Thursday night, Judy Woodruff asked Biden how he feels about Trump’s use of Twitter during the transition period.

She noted that Trump referred to Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) as the “head clown” in a tweet Thursday and referred to “inflammatory President O statements and roadblocks” in a tweet last month.

“Grow up, Donald. Grow up,” Biden responded on PBS. “Time to be an adult. You’re president. You’ve got to do something.”

“Show us what you have. You’re going to propose legislation. We’re going to get to debate it. Let the public decide. Let them vote in Congress. Let’s see what happens,” he continued.

Biden said he imagines it will become easier to understand what Trump will do in office once he gets there in two weeks.

“It’s going to be much clearer what he’s for and against and what we’re for and against now that it’s going to get down to actually discussing in detail these issues that affect peoples’ lives,” Biden said.
