Trump: Report is ‘utter nonsense’

President-elect Donald Trump early Wednesday rejected reports that Russia has compromising financial and personal information on him, calling it “very unfair” after Russia denied it.

“Russia just said the unverified report paid for by political opponents is A COMPLETE AND TOTAL FABRICATION, UTTER NONSENSE.’ Very unfair!”

Trump then posted a stream of tweets blasting the report, including one in which he said he feels like he’s “living in Nazi Germany.”

{mosads}Russian officials early Wednesday said a CNN report that said Russia had compromising personal and financial information on Trump was an “absolute fabrication,” according to a report in The New York Times.

“The Kremlin has no compromising dossier on Mr. Trump, such information is not consistent with reality and is nothing but an absolute fantasy,” said Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov.

“There are people who foment this hysteria, who move heaven and earth to keep up this ‘witch hunt,’” he added. “By the way, this is how Mr. Trump characterized this fabrication.”

Late Tuesday night, Trump called the report a “political witch hunt.”

CNN reported Tuesday night that intelligence officials had briefed Trump and President Obama on a dossier alleging Russian spies had gathered compromising information on him. The documents from the report are unsubstantiated.
