Hillary Clinton tweets well-wishes to Bushes

Hillary Clinton on Wednesday sent get-well wishes to former President George H.W. Bush and his wife, Barbara, who have both been hospitalized.

“Indeed. Bill & I have you in our thoughts & look forward to you both being back on your feet soon, wild socks & all. –H,” Clinton wrote, quoting a tweet from her husband, President Bill Clinton, and signing her message with an H to indicate it came directly from her.

{mosads}Bush and his wife were recently hospitalized and will be unable to attend President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration on Friday. 

A spokesman for Bush said Wednesday that the former president was in stable condition after having “a procedure to protect and clear his airway that required sedation.” 

According to the spokesman, Barbara Bush was hospitalized “as a precaution.”
