Trump calls Madonna ‘disgusting’

President Trump on Thursday blasted Madonna for her speech during the Woman’s March on Washington over the weekend, calling the veteran performer’s remarks “disgraceful.”

“Honestly, she’s disgusting,” Trump said in an interview with Fox News’s Sean Hannity. “I think she hurt herself very badly. I think she hurt that whole cause.”

Madonna told thousands gathered on the National Mall to protest Trump’s presidency last Saturday that she had thought about “blowing up the White House.”

{mosads}”Yes, I’m angry. Yes, I am outraged. Yes, I have thought an awful lot about blowing up the White House … but I know that this won’t change anything. We cannot fall into despair,” the singer remarked.

Madonna was also criticized for using profanity, with several f-words audible on CNN and MSNBC, which aired her speech live.

“I thought she was in particular — I thought what she said was disgraceful to our country,” Trump told Fox.

Madonna defended her remarks on Sunday, stating that they were taken “wildly out of context.”

“I am not a violent person. I do not promote violence, and it’s important people hear and understand my speech in its entirety rather than one phrase taken wildly out of context,” she wrote in an Instagram post.

“My speech began with ‘I want to start a revolution of love.’ “
