Sanders: I will vote no on Tillerson
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) said Friday he would not vote to confirm President Trump’s secretary of State pick, Rex Tillerson.
“I will vote NO on the nomination of Rex Tillerson, one of the worst choices Trump has made for his cabinet, and he’s made many bad choices,” Sanders wrote in a tweet.

Sanders joins Democrats including Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.), who said earlier Friday he too would vote against Tillerson.
Schumer criticized the former Exxon Mobile CEO for his positions on climate change and his refusal to rule out the Muslim registry that Trump supported during his presidential campaign.
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), one of the last GOP holdouts on Tillerson’s nomination, announced Monday that he would support him for secretary of State, clearing the way for his confirmation.
Sanders has long criticized Tillerson, saying last month that his nomination “must be opposed.”
“Mr. Trump’s nomination of Rex Tillerson for secretary of State is sending a very troubling message to the international community,” Sanders said in a statement at the time.
“Not only is Mr. Tillerson a pal of Russia’s authoritarian leader, Vladimir Putin, but he is the head of one of the largest oil companies in the world,” he added.
