Chelsea Clinton praises New York subway riders who erased swastikas on train

Chelsea Clinton is praising New York subway riders who erased Swastikas from a train on Saturday.

“We will not let hate win. And, another reason to carry hand sanitizer,” Clinton tweeted, along with a screenshot of a Facebook post about the incident.

New York subway riders used hand sanitizer to erase numerous Swastikas on windows and advertisements throughout the train.

Gregory Locke, a witness, posted photos and a description of the event on Facebook.

“I got on the subway in Manhattan tonight and found a Swastika on every advertisements and every window,” Locke wrote. “The train was silent as everyone stared at each other, uncomfortable and unsure what to do.”

{mosads}Then, Locke wrote, one passenger got up and rallied riders to remove the vandalism.

“I’ve never seen so many people simultaneously reach into their bags and pockets looking for tissues and Purel,” Locke wrote. Within about two minutes, all the Nazi symbolism was gone.”

Locke said one passenger said, “I guess this is Trump’s America.”

“No sir, it’s not,” Locke responded in his post. “Not tonight and not ever. Not as long as stubborn New Yorkers have anything to say about it.”
