Hillary Clinton goes ‘gaga’ for Lady Gaga’s Super Bowl performance

Hillary Clinton said she went “gaga” over Lady Gaga’s Super Bowl performance on Sunday night.

“I’m one of 100 million Super Bowl fans that just went #Gaga for the Lady, & her message to all of us,” Clinton tweeted Sunday night along with a post from US Weekly showing the start of Lady Gaga’s performance, which incorporated a message of unity.

Lady Gaga began her performance with a few lines from American anthems, then performed a set of her hits.

Lady Gaga supported Clinton, the Democratic nominee, in the 2016 presidential election. She performed at several Clinton rallies throughout her campaign.

{mosads}Though some expected Lady Gaga to get political during her halftime performance, she did not make an overt political statement.

Former Vice President Joe Biden, who worked with the performer on his It’s On Us campaign to end sexual assault on college campuses, also praised the singer Sunday night.

“Incredible performance from my friend Lady Gaga. You amaze me — and not just onstage. Proud to work with you to end sexual assault. #ItsOnUs,” Biden tweeted.
