‘Day Without a Woman’ strike set for March 8
The group behind the Women’s March on Washington in protest of Donald Trump’s presidency announced this week that it will hold a general strike on Wednesday, March 8.
In social media posts, the Women’s March group announced the “General Strike: A day without a woman” will take place on International Women’s Day.
The group did not immediately announce what actions it’s calling for as part of the strike but said it would begin sharing more information over the next few weeks.

Hundreds of thousands of protesters gathered in cities across the world on Jan. 21 to march in protest of Trump on his first full day in office.
{mosads}The plans, hatched just after Trump’s Election Day victory, began with the march on Washington and quickly ballooned into a massive protest that sparked sister demonstrations around the world.
The Women’s March group is now organizing in local communities to keep people involved in politics.
