MoveOn launches healthcare TV ad in Montana, Iowa

MoveOn.org, the liberal grassroots organization, is launching a new add supporting President Obama’s healthcare plan. The ad will run in Montana, Iowa and on D.C. cable.

The spot is, well, clever. It shows two men in suits ranting about how Obama’s healthcare plan could put them out of business.

“If Obama’s public health insurance option passes, it will be a disaster for us,” one character says.

The ad makes it look like the men are healthcare executives when (surprise!) it is revealed at the end of the ad that they work in a funeral home.

A spokesperson for MoveOn declined to say how much money is behind the ads.
