Kaine’s son arrested at Trump rally
The youngest son of Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.) was arrested after protesters attempted to disrupt a pro-President Trump rally in St. Paul, Minn., Twin Cities reported on Tuesday.
Linwood Michael Kaine, 24, was arrested along with 4 other protesters on a suspicion of second-degree riot during counter-protests at the “March 4 Trump” rally Saturday.
{mosads}Another protester was also arrested for disorderly conduct. The demonstrators reportedly tried to disrupt the rally with air horns, chants, whistles and a smoke bomb.
“We love that our three children have their own views and concerns about current political issues,” Kaine told the newspaper through a spokesman. “They fully understand the responsibility to express those concerns peacefully.”
Kaine’s son was released from the Ramsey County jail on Tuesday, with the city attorney considering a potential misdemeanor charge.
