Ivanka Trump dropping fine jewelry line

Ivanka Trump is discontinuing her line of fine jewelry, Vanity Fair reported.

The decision to drop the collection is “part of our company’s commitment to offering solution-oriented products at accessible price points,” said Abigail Klem, the president of the Ivanka Trump fashion brand.

The line, which Trump started in 2007, includes rings, necklaces and bangles that sell for up to $25,000.

{mosads}Trump began selling the jewelry in 2007 in a boutique in Manhattan. She has since added shoes, handbags and less-expensive jewelry to her brand, which is carried by many department stories.

Since President Trump’s election, several department stores have dropped Ivanka Trump’s brand, including Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus.

Nordstrom said its decision to drop the brand was due to its declining sales.

Now, the Ivanka Trump brand will create products targeted toward the brand’s primary customers.

“We will be focusing our efforts on existing and new categories that are most relevant to our loyal customers—including fashion jewelry, which successfully launched last fall with price points that are aligned with the rest of our collection,” Klem said.

Earlier this month, Klem said Ivanka Trump’s fashion line was seeing record sales.

“For several different retailers Ivanka Trump was a top performer online, and in some of the categories it was the [brand’s] best performance ever,” Klem told Refinery29 earlier this month.
