Anti-President Trump protesters in Tennessee gave a Southern welcome to a Trump supporter who confronted their protest, shouting him down with a chant of “bless your heart.”
Demonstrators gathered in Nashville on Wednesday ahead of Trump’s speech there
{mosads}As a man in a red “Trump” beanie waving a “Make American Great Again” flag shouted at the protesters, they responded with a chant of “bless your heart,” according to video from the scene.
Trump was in the state on Wednesday to tout Republicans’ plan to repeal and replace ObamaCare.
“We’re going to arbitrate, we’re going to all get together. We’re going to get something done,” he said at the campaign-style rally. “The end result is when you have phase one, phase two, phase three, it’s going to be great.”
The House Republicans’ plan has been so far met with opposition from conservatives. The bill is scheduled to be debated by the House Budget Committee on Thursday.
