Trump considering Conway’s husband to head civil division at Justice: report

President Trump is reportedly planning to pick senior counselor Kellyanne Conway’s husband to head the Justice Department’s civil division, The Wall Street Journal reported Friday.

George Conway currently works as a lawyer at the New York firm Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz. He received his undergraduate degree from Harvard and his law degree from Yale.

In the 1990s, Conway was on the legal team of Paula Jones, who accused President Bill Clinton of sexual harassment.

The position as the head of the Justice Department civil division would put Conway at the forefront of defending Trump’s revised executive order on immigration into the country from six predominantly Muslim countries, which has already been halted by federal judges.
