Dem to Trump: ‘You truly are an evil man’

Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.) called President Trump an “evil man” on Saturday over his claims that ObamaCare will explode.

“‘President’ Donald Trump: You truly are an evil man. Your job is to help Americans. Not intentionally try to destroy their lives,” Lieu, a vocal Trump critic, wrote on Twitter.

The tweet was in response to Trump tweeting earlier in the day that “ObamaCare will explode and we will all get together and piece together a great healthcare plan for THE PEOPLE. Do not worry!”

Lieu quote tweeted Trump a second time, saying that should he subvert ObamaCare, he would be violating his oath as president to “faithfully execute laws passed by Congress.”

Trump’s tweet echoed his comments to reporters Friday afternoon, when he blamed Democrats for the failure to secure GOP support for Republicans’ plan to repeal and replace ObamaCare.

“We were very close, it was a very tight margin. We had no Democrat support, no votes from the Democrats,” Trump said.

“I think the losers are Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer because now they own ObamaCare,” he added, referring to the House and Senate Democratic leaders.

“When it explodes, which it will soon, if they got together with us and we got a real healthcare bill, I would be totally open to” working with Democrats, Trump said.

Lieu has been a harsh critic of the Trump administration, and earlier this week called on lawmakers to stop voting on his policies until a Russia investigation was concluded.
