Fights erupt at Calif. pro-Trump rally

Authorities made several arrests after fights broke out during a “Make America Great Again” rally in support of President Trump in Huntington Beach, Calif., on Saturday, CBS Los Angeles reported.

According to the report, the clashes between pro-Trump and anti-Trump demonstrators began after 12:30 p.m. One demonstrator was reportedly pepper sprayed by another protester while another person was punched.

{mosads}According to the report, the pro-Trump rally was also a pro-veteran march, with organizers collecting donations for homeless veterans.

The organizers also expected approximately 3,000 demonstrators to attend the event, which was originally planned to take place at a nearby event center.

Fearing clashes between pro-Trump and anti-Trump crowds, the event was later moved to a different location, CBS Los Angeles noted.

The number of arrests wasn’t immediately clear. Fights started about an hour into the demonstration, according to KTLA.
