President Trump hosted a dinner for Chinese President Xi Jinping at his Mar-a-Lago resort Thursday night, the first day of Xi’s visit to the U.S.
The menu included caesar salad and pan-seared Dover sole fish, herb-roasted potatoes and haricots vert or New York strip steak, whipped potatoes and roasted root vegetables.
{mosads}Dessert included options of chocolate cake with vanilla sauce and dark chocolate sorbet or a sorbet trio.
The White House shared the menu with pool reporters.
The two leaders plan to “discuss global, regional, and bilateral issues of mutual concern,” the White House said in a statement last week.
Attendees included first ladies Melania Trump and Peng Liyuan, Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, chief of staff Reince Priebus, top strategist Steve Bannon and Trump’s daughter and son-in-law, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, two top advisers.
