Carter Page: ‘All of the lies’ are ‘coming out into the open’

Carter Page, a former campaign adviser to President Trump, said Thursday evening that he is encouraged that “all the lies” about him are “coming into the open.”

“I’m very encouraged that all of the lies that have been a drag on this administration are finally coming out into the open,” Page said in an interview with Fox News.

Page and other current and former Trump aides have denied allegations of improper communications with Russian officials during the 2016 campaign and presidential transition. Trump allies say the real story is illegal leaks to the press — and spying on Trump’s team by Obama-era intelligence agencies.

“So many people have lied against me from the [Hillary] Clinton campaign and many of their surrogates … let’s see what actually comes out,” Page told host Eric Bolling on “The O’Reilly Factor.”

{mosads}Reports emerged Tuesday that Page was targeted by an order under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act last summer that allowed the FBI to surveil his communications as part of a probe into the Trump campaign’s connections with Moscow.

Page has denied any wrongdoing and maintained that there are “certainly a lot of indications” that there was false evidence introduced against him in the FISA court.
