Easter polling
The percentage of Americans who believe Easter is one of the nation’s most important holidays has jumped 7% since last year, a new Rasmussen poll finds.
53% of respondents say Easter is near the top of the list, compared to 46% who said the same in 2008. Evangelicals are more likely to place importance on Easter, with 78% saying it is one of the most important holidays. That compares to 53% of Protestants and 50% of Catholics.
46% of adults say they’ll take part in an Easter egg hunt, up 6% from last year.
