Hillary Clinton on Wednesday mocked President Trump’s late-night tweet using the made-up word “covfefe,” joking that she “thought it was a hidden message to the Russians.”
“You don’t have a high enough classification to know what ‘covfefe’ means,” she told an audience member at the Code Conference in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., during a Q&A session.
Clinton’s comments poked fun at a since-deleted message posted to Trump’s Twitter account early Wednesday morning, which appeared to begin as a dismissal of negative press coverage of his administration before trailing off into “covfefe.”
{mosads}”Despite the constant negative press covfefe,” the tweet read.
Trump himself seemingly joined those on social media making light of the word on Wednesday, following up with another tweet several hours later reading, “Who can figure out the true meaning of ‘covfefe’ ??? Enjoy!”

White House press secretary Sean Spicer gave a cryptic answer when asked about the made-up word at his daily press briefing on Wednesday, saying that only “the president and a small group of people know exactly what he meant” by the tweet.
