Merkel ‘disappointed’ in Trump’s withdrawal from Paris agreement
German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Thursday vowed to keep working to “save our Earth,” after President Trump announced that the U.S. would withdraw from the Paris climate agreement.
Merkel’s spokesman, Steffen Seibert, tweeted Thursday that Merkel is “disappointed” in Trump’s decision to withdraw the U.S. from the agreement. “Now more than ever we will work for global climate policies that save our planet,” he wrote.
