US attorney fired by Trump: We all hope there are tapes of Comey talks
A former U.S. attorney who was fired by President Trump earlier this year is echoing fired FBI Director James Comey’s hope that there are tapes of Comey’s conversations with Trump.
“We can all agree with Jim Comey that, Lordy, we hope there are tapes,” Preet Bharara tweeted, moments after Comey’s comments during his Senate testimony.

{mosads}Comey said during his Senate testimony Thursday that he hopes there are “tapes” of his conversations with Trump.
Bharara attended the Senate Intelligence Committee hearing where Comey spoke after getting a seat courtesy of Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.), CNN reported.
Bharara was fired from President Trump’s administration after he refused to resign when asked by Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
Trump had publicly asked Bharara to stay on as U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York shortly after Election Day. He was one of 46 attorneys Trump fired after taking office.
