Schumer parodies Trump’s praise-filled Cabinet meeting
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-New York) on Monday mocked President Trump’s first Cabinet meeting, in which the commander in chief had each secretary offer up praise.
“GREAT meeting today with the best staff in the history of the world!!!” Schumer tweeted with a video of him and his staff around a conference room table.
The video features Schumer asking his staff “how we did on the Sunday shows,” but his staff quickly pivots to compliments.

“Your tone was perfect,” one staffer said. “You were right on message.”
{mosads}Schumer asked another aide how his hair looked, to which the staffer replied “you have great hair — nobody has better hair than you.”
“I just want to say, thank you for the opportunity and the blessing to serve your agenda,” another staffer said, referencing what White House chief of staff Reince Priebus said during Trump’s cabinet meeting.
“On behalf of the entire senior staff around you, Mr. President, we thank you for the opportunity and the blessing that you’ve give us to serve your agenda and the American people,” Priebus said.
“And we’re continuing to work very hard every day to accomplish those goals.”
During his first-ever Cabinet meeting, which was widely mocked on social media, Trump said he had accomplished more than other president — aside from Franklin Roosevelt — during his first six months in office.
“Never has there been a president, with few exceptions — case of FDR, he had a major depression to handle — who has passed more legislation and who has done more things than what we’ve done,” Trump said.
