Car hits police van on Champs-Elysees in Paris
An armed man was taken down by Paris police Monday after a car crashed into a police van on the Champs-Elysees, according to CNN.
The vehicle burst into flames after the crash, and the suspect may be dead, according to France’s interior minister Pierre-Henry Brandet.

French authorities told people to avoid the area, which is a popular attraction for tourists.
The attack follows a slew of terror attacks in the U.K. and Europe. It comes one day after a van ran down pedestrians in a north London neighborhood on Sunday night.
A man shot and killed a police officer and wounded two others on the Champs-Elysees in April. Police shot and killed the man as he tried to escape.
