Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) on Tuesday said she’s not sure which specific ObamaCare provisions President Trump opposes, suggesting that the president doesn’t actually know what’s in it.
“I think what this president has said is he’s gone out to rallies and said repeal ObamaCare simply because he could get a big, huge applause line,” Murray told MSNBC Tuesday.
{mosads}Murray was referring to Trump’s campaign promise of repealing ObamaCare.
“I don’t know that he ever understood exactly what the provisions of ObamaCare were, or what we’re trying to accomplish in our health system today for more affordable quality care.”
Murray, the third-ranking Senate Democrat, has been a vocal critic of efforts to repeal ObamaCare, and joined other Democrats in filibustering the original GOP House bill.
