Book: Drudge predicted polls would be wrong on election night

Conservative media personality Matt Drudge told White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon on Election Day not to worry about exit polls showing President Trump trailing Hillary Clinton, a new book reveals.

Bannon called Trump as exit polls came in showing Clinton with a significant lead, Bloomberg’s Joshua Green wrote in his new book, “Devil’s Bargain,” according to the Washington Examiner.

{mosads}Drudge’s response to Bannon on the exit polling, according to the book, was: “F— the corporate media. They’ve been wrong on everything. They’ll be wrong on this.”

Trump defeated Clinton in a shocking upset, after winning a number of swing states that polls showed him trailing in.

“Drudge was right. The corporate media blew it,” Green wrote.

Drudge’s website, Drudge Report, routinely cast doubt on poll results during the 2016 campaign.
