Viral ‘Daily Show’ clip shows Scaramucci mimicking Trump’s gestures

A viral video from “The Daily Show” shows just how similar new White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci is to President Trump.

The video shows Scaramucci side-by-side with Trump making a series of gestures in nearly the exact same way as Trump has in the past — right down to blowing a kiss to reporters.

“The Mooch did his homework,” the show tweeted.

Scaramucci ended his first news conference Friday with a kiss to the press corps, hours after being appointed to his new job.

{mosads}Trump’s decision on Friday to hire the Wall Street financier as the new White House communications director sparked a sudden shakeup of the president’s senior staff, leading to press secretary Sean Spicer’s resignation.

The newly appointed communications director acknowledged Saturday that he was deleting old tweets criticizing Trump and supporting policies Trump opposes.

“Full transparency: I’m deleting old tweets. Past views evolved & shouldn’t be a distraction. I serve @POTUS agenda & that’s all that matters,” he wrote on Twitter.

Reports of Scaramucci deleting yearsold tweets surfaced Friday, including two tweets from 2012 in which he called Trump “so smart with no judgment” and called Trump’s future opponent, Hillary Clinton, “incredibly competent.”

Scaramucci personally apologized to Trump again during the White House press briefing Friday.
