Scaramucci dines at the Trump hotel after White House exit

Anthony Scaramucci reportedly dined at President Trump’s hotel in Washington, D.C., Monday evening, just hours after Trump removed his embattled communications director.

Scaramucci was spotted at the Trump Hotel’s BLT Prime, according to the Daily Mail. 

He was joined by Katrina Pierson, Trump’s campaign spokeswoman, and other administration employees, the news outlet added.

{mosads}The former hedge fund manager lost his job earlier Monday, after just 10 days at the White House. His departure came on the same day that former Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly assumed his new role as Trump’s chief of staff. 

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement that Scaramucci “felt it was best to give chief of staff John Kelly a clean slate and the ability to build his own team.”

Trump later tweeted that Monday was “a great day at the White House.”

Scaramucci’s ouster came just days after The New Yorker published a vulgar rant in which he described then-chief of staff Reince Priebus as a “a f—ing paranoid schizophrenic.”

Scaramucci’s official start date was set for Aug. 15, but he was already carrying out the duties of the job, attending meetings in the White House and acting as a surrogate for Trump on television.
