Scaramucci shares editorial cartoon mocking his White House ouster

President Trump’s former communications director Anthony Scaramucci shared a light-hearted tweet Friday regarding his abrupt ouster from the White House earlier this week.

The Wall Street financier posted a cartoon on Twitter, illustrating a political cartoonist’s frustration with the high turnover rate of White House employees as of late.

“News item: Nation’s cartoonists file class action lawsuit demanding Trump slow down the firing of White House misfits long enough for us to finish our *!!?#@*!! cartoons!!!!!” reads the caption on the image, which shows a dejected illustrator banging his fists against a wall, while a caricature of Scaramucci with a blank quote bubble sits on his desk.

Scaramucci was removed from his White House post on Monday after John Kelly was sworn in as Trump’s new chief of staff. Scaramucci had only served in the role for 10 days. 

In his short tenure in the West Wing, Scaramucci stirred controversy with his vows to weed out leakers and overhaul the White House’s press operation.

He also caught blowback over an interview he gave to The New Yorker days before he was fired, in which he launched a profanity-laced tirade attacking then-chief of staff Reince Priebus, White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon and alleged leakers in the West Wing.

It’s not clear what Scaramucci’s post-White House plans are. He had canceled a press event scheduled for Friday, saying in a tweet he wanted to focus “on Family, My Work in The Private Sector” instead.
