Gorka compares Bannon’s White House departure to ‘Star Wars’ scene
Former White House aide Sebastian Gorka is comparing senior adviser Stephen Bannon’s departure from the White House to a scene from “Star Wars,” adding the left “has no idea what’s coming around the corner.”
“[I]t’s like the last scene from ‘Star Wars.’ Do you remember what Obi Wan Kenobi said to Darth [Vader]? ‘If you strike me down, I will be more powerful than you can ever imagine.’ The left thinks they’re winning,” Gorka told Breitbart’s political editor, Matt Boyle.
{mosads}”They have no idea what’s coming around the corner, and it’s going to be fun, Matt. You know it,” Gorka added.
Gorka compared the movie franchise’s protagonists in the Rebel Alliance to the White House’s populist wing, which used to consist of Bannon and Gorka before they departed the Trump administration.
The former aide also compared the White House’s “globalist” wing to the the Galactic Empire.
Gorka left the White House on Friday.
“Regrettably, outside of yourself, the individuals who most embodied and represented the policies that will ‘Make America Great Again,’ have been internally countered, systematically removed, or undermined in recent months,” he wrote in a letter.
His departure came one week after Bannon left the White House after reportedly being pushed out.
Bannon has since rejoined Breitbart as its executive chairman. Gorka was an editor at the conservative outlet.
Bannon said he would “go to war” for the president, but his colleagues at Breitbart have intensified their rhetoric against Trump in the wake Bannon’s departure.
A high-level Breitbart employee said that outlet is ready to help Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) impeach Trump if he doesn’t follow through on his campaign promises, according to a report from Vanity Fair last week.
