Former drug company CEO and convicted felon Martin Shkreli on Tuesday offered a $5,000 reward to anyone who successfully grabs a sample of hair from Hillary Clinton on her upcoming book tour — but only if the “sequences” match.
“The Clinton Foundation is willing to KILL to protect its secrets,” Shrekli wrote in a Facebook post.
“So on [Hillary Clinton’s] book tour, try to grab a hair from her. I must confirm the sequences I have. Will pay $5,000 per hair obtained from Hillary Clinton. Payment after the sequence matches. Good luck, patrollers,” he wrote, referring to DNA sequences.
{mosads}Shkreli’s post appears to put a target on Clinton’s back shortly before she begins a tour to promote her new book, “What Happened,” in which she shares her side of events during the 2016 presidential campaign.
Attempting to snatch hairs from the former presidential candidate could be seen as assault against Clinton.
Clinton’s book is set for release next Tuesday, with her first appearance scheduled to take place on Sept. 18 at the Warner Theater in Washington, according to Fox News.
The former CEO of Turing Pharmaceutical was found guilty last month on three counts of deceiving investors in hedge funds, facing up to 20 years in prison. Shkreli said he plans to challenge his conviction.
Shkreli gained notoriety after hiking the price of a life-saving drug treatment that is mostly used by AIDS and cancer patients.
