Clinton book: Abedin broke into tears after learning Weiner sexting restarted email probe

Hillary Clinton’s longtime aide Huma Abedin was devastated by the news that her husband’s underage sexting investigation had caused the FBI to reopen the probe into Clinton’s private email server, according to a leaked copy of the former Democratic nominee’s new book.

A leaked copy of “What Happened,” obtained by RadarOnline.com, reveals that Abedin burst into tears and lamented that her husband, disgraced former Congressman Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.), would “be the death” of her.

“This man is going to be the death of me!” Abedin said while “bursting into tears,” Clinton writes in her book.

“Anthony had already caused so much heartache,” Clinton adds. “And now this.”

In October, former FBI Director James Comey threw the presidential election into disarray after announcing the agency had found emails potentially “pertinent” to the Clinton investigation while seizing equipment owned by Abedin and Weiner from their apartment. The month before, a 15-year-old girl reported to The Daily Mail that she had been sent explicit messages from the former congressman, who resigned in 2011 after revealing multiple affairs.

Weiner pleaded guilty to a felony on charges related to the underage sexting in May, and in a plea deal agreed not to appeal any sentence between 21 and 27 months in prison.

Abedin filed for divorce earlier this year.
