Lewandowski headed to Harvard as visiting fellow

Corey Lewandowski, President Trump’s former campaign manager, is heading to Harvard University this fall to serve as a fellow at the school’s Institute of Politics.

Lewandowski joins a host of other high-profile fellows, including MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough, as well as former Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear (D) and former NAACP CEO and President Cornell William Brooks. 

“This diverse group of policymakers, journalists, political advisors and activists provides a robust platform for dynamic interaction with our students and the larger Harvard community,” Institute of Politics Acting Director Bill Delahunt said in a statement.

Trump fired Lewandowski as his campaign manager in June 2016 as the then-candidate prepared to head into the general election. 

But Lewandowski remained an ardent supporter of Trump. After leaving the campaign, he went to work as a contributor for CNN, where he frequently defended the president on air. 

After Trump’s election in November, Lewandowski left the network and started a lobbying and consulting firm in Washington. He left that firm in May.
