Clinton to make late-night return on Colbert

Hillary Clinton is set to make her first late-night television appearance since losing the 2016 presidential election on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” Sept. 19.

CBS announced on Thursday that Clinton will sit down with Colbert a week after her upcoming book, “What Happened,” hits the shelves to discuss her 2016 campaign and the Trump administration.

A spokesman for Clinton told The New York Times in an email that “she looks forward to” going on the show.

{mosads}Clinton has maintained a relatively low profile since her electoral defeat last November, though she has made occasional appearances at Q&A sessions and award ceremonies.

In her upcoming book, Clinton recounts her experiences during the 2016 campaign, including her thoughts on her former primary opponent, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), and her concession call with then-President-elect Donald Trump.

When Clinton sits down with Colbert later this month, it’ll be her second time doing so. She last appeared on the show in October 2015, where she discussed her decision to run for president.
