Congressional offices raise bucks for ‘Race for the Cure’

Here’s a feel good post to end the week on: Congressional offices have raised a lot of money for this weekend’s Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.

According to the race’s website, the Congressional Budget Office has raised nearly $3,700. They are followed by “Team Early” with $1,900, “Team Texas” with $1,790 and Rep. Mary Fallin’s (R-Okla.) “Fallin’s Fleet of Feet” with $1,600.

Looks like there are also teams from the offices of Reps. David Loebsack (D-Iowa), Paul Hodes (D-N.H.) and Xavier Becerra (D-Calif.), among others.

In sum, these offices have raised about $15,000. I think to say this is admirable would be an understatement. Congrats and good luck this weekend.
