Cruz Twitter account ‘likes’ pornographic clip in possible hack

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) was trending on Twitter after his official Senate account “liked” a pornographic video.

The tweet was from the account @SexuallPosts and includes a clip from a pornographic video. The like remained for nearly an hour before being undone by Cruz’s team around 1:20 a.m, according to The Verge.

{mosads}It’s possible Cruz was hacked. 

The senator’s communications director, Catherine Frazier, said the message “has been removed by staff and reported to Twitter,” suggesting that Cruz will say his account was hacked.
