Mullen: Obama setting policies military can support
Admiral Michael Mullen, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said Sunday that President Obama is developing “policies and policy objectives that the military can support.”
Appearing on ABC’s “This Week,” Mullen was asked his impression of working with Obama.
“It is very rare with any kind of major issue that the president doesn’t initially ask, ‘Where are we going? What’s our instinct?’ And then developing a strategic view of how to get there.”
Mullen also said that Obama hasn’t really surprised him, but added that Obama is “developing policies and policy objectives that the military can support.”
