We’re just saying…
This week on “American Idol,” more than 88 million votes were cast to whittle the final three down to the two finalists who will face off next week (which will be Adam Lambert and Kris Allen). That’s more than 18 million votes than Barack Obama received in the ’08 election, and more than 28 million votes than were cast for John McCain.
Of course, presidential elections don’t allow texting in votes until your fingers fall off…
Traditionally, by the way, the governors of the finalists’ home states make some sort of bet on the competition. No word yet on the Schwarzenegger (Lambert) vs. Arkansas Gov. Mike Beebe (Allen) showdown.
