Dem mega-donor Steyer fires back at Trump

Democratic mega-donor Tom Steyer fired back at President Trump in a series of tweets on Friday after Trump hit him on Twitter for funding an ad campaign calling for the president’s impeachment. 

“You’re right about one thing, Mr. Trump. I have been fighting your racism and corporate groveling from the beginning—and always will,” Steyer said in a tweet replying to Trump.

Steyer went on to call on Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) to take a stand on impeachment.

Steyer’s tweets comes after Trump blasted him in a tweet, calling him “wacky and totally unhinged.”

Steyer launched a $10 million ad campaign on cable news laying out the case for Trump’s impeachment. Steyer, who appears in the ad, criticizes Trump’s actions on health care, immigration and the environment and says a Republican Congress impeached President Clinton for less serious conduct.
