Clinton tweets support after attack: ‘New York’s resilience is stronger than a cowardly act of terror’

Hillary Clinton shared a message of support and resilience for those killed and impacted by a suspected terror attack in New York City Tuesday.

“New York’s resilience is stronger than a cowardly act of terror. Thinking of the victims, their families, & the responders who saved lives,” Clinton tweeted Tuesday.

{mosads}Clinton’s message came just hours after a  truck attack left eight people dead.

A truck plowed into pedestrians on a bicycle path in lower Manhattan earlier Tuesday.

The suspect, identified in media reports as 29-year-old Sayfullo Saipov, was reportedly heard yelling “Allahu Akbar,” Arabic for “God is great,” after he exited the truck.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) said Saipov appeared to be a “lone wolf” attacker.
