Former Mexican President Vicente Fox is celebrating surpassing 1 million followers on Twitter, and he’s thanking President Trump for the milestone.
“Thank you, Donald Trump. Thanks to you 1 million voices have made ourselves heard and stood against racism and hate, which you keep on spreading,” Fox said in a video posted on the social media site.

“Thanks to you, in the last 90 days, over 65 million people were active participants in the ideas that I have put in Twitter,” he continued. “And you know what? This is more people than the votes you got.”
Fox, who served as Mexico’s president from 2000 to 2006, has been an outspoken critic of Trump since he took office. He has most notably spoken out against the U.S. president’s proposal to build a massive border wall between the U.S. and Mexico.
Twitter has become one of Fox’s primary platforms for his criticisms of Trump, and his following on the website has surged since the real estate mogul took office in January.
