Trooper shot and killed in Texas
A Texas trooper was shot and killed near Dallas on Thursday, CNN reported.
The trooper, who worked for the Texas Department of Public Safety, was killed around 4 p.m. local time. The trooper’s name hasn’t been released to the public.

Earlier, it was reported that authorities were looking for a suspect named Darbrett Black.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the TXDPS trooper shot and killed this afternoon in Freestone County,” the Navarro County Office of Emergency Management said in a statement.
