Jimmy Fallon: Roy Moore’s campaign headquarters was quiet, but ‘it was a school night’
Late-night host Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday mocked Roy Moore’s loss, saying that perhaps the Republican Alabama Senate candidate’s campaign headquarters were quiet on election night because “it was a school night.”
The comedian’s remarks on NBC’s “The Tonight Show” were a reference to allegations that Moore pursued sexual and romantic relations with teenage girls when he was in his 30s.
“As the results came in, reporters said it was very quiet at Moore’s campaign headquarters,” Fallon said. “But to be fair, it was a school night.”

Moore, who was once thought to have the advantage in deep-red Alabama, fell to Democrat Doug Jones in Tuesday’s special election.
Moore, a former Alabama Supreme Court chief justice, has denied the sexual misconduct allegations, claiming they were politically motivated.
In the weeks before the election, Moore faced calls from numerous Republican officials and lawmakers to withdraw from the race in the face of the allegations, though he rebuffed those pleas.
Despite the allegations, President Trump endorsed Moore, but said after the vote that the controversial candidate could not win a general election.
Moore has not yet conceded the race to Jones, who won the race by 1.5 percentage points.
