John Dingell at GW Hospital after fall
Former Rep. John Dingell (D-Mich.) has been admitted to George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C., after taking a fall.
{mosads}His wife, Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-Mich.), said in a Facebook post on Tuesday that he had been “talking and not paying attention and fell.” Doctors believe he has strained quadriceps, she added.
“Hopefully…..it will be a short stay….i will be his drill instructor and with TLC from me over the holiday and relentless PT he will be up and around in January,” his wife continued.
John Dingell himself took to Twitter on Tuesday, saying he was in good spirits.
If you’re lucky enough to make it to 91 years old, pay attention to where you’re walking. Took a fall and ended up hanging out here at @GWHospital with a bum leg.
Feeling good though. Particularly glad I’m not a horse.

John Dingell retired from Congress in 2014 after serving for 59 years.
