Bio of professor linked to Trump-Russia probe scrubbed from university website
The online biography of a professor linked to the FBI’s investigation of Russia has been removed from the website of Link Campus University (LCU) in Rome, BuzzFeed News reports.
Information for Joseph Mifsud, a professor of political science and international relations who taught at LCU for years, is missing from the school’s website, with all references to the professor gone from faculty pages and links to his biography leading to a 404 error page.
LCU did not respond to BuzzFeed’s request for comment as to whether Mifsud is still employed at the school. A spokesman for the school previously told Buzzfeed that he worked for the university on a varying, contractual basis.

Mifsud is alleged to have told former Trump campaign foreign policy adviser George Papadopolous in 2016 that the Russian government had compromising information on Hillary Clinton, according to court documents.
Court documents also stated that Mifsud and Papadopolous worked for months to arrange a meeting between then-candidate Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, an idea that was eventually rejected by then-Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.),
Mifsud also reportedly introduced Papadopolous to Olga Polonskaya, whom Mifsud falsely represented to Papadopolous as being Putin’s niece.
Interactions between Trump campaign officials and Russian figures are being heavily scrutinized by Robert Mueller’s special counsel investigation.
Papadopolous pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI in November and has been cooperating with Mueller’s investigation.
